Update on the status of defensive lineman Kingsley Opara

EDMONTON — Please see the following update regarding the status of Elks defensive lineman Kingsley Opara, who suffered an injury in Edmonton’s game against the Calgary Stampeders on Friday, June 3:

Friday night No. 77 Kingsley Opara suffered an injury to his head and neck in the third quarter. He was subsequently taken to the Royal Alex Hospital where he spent the night for monitoring. We’re happy to share that Kingsley was discharged early this morning, and that all test results have come back normal. We thank everyone for their well wishes and know your support will continue as Kingsley starts his rehab.
