EDMONTON - The Edmonton Elks have signed American Dresser Winn (QB) and National Olivier Charles-Pierre (DL), the club announced Saturday.

Winn spent six seasons with the UT Martin Skyhawks (2017-22), where he passed for 5,800 yards and 37 touchdowns in 32 career games. The Dresden, Tenn., native led the Skyhawks to back-to-back regular-season championships in the Ohio Valley Conference (2021, 2022) and was named to the All-OVC second team and Phil Steele All-Conference second team as a graduate student in 2022.

Winn attended training camp with the Los Angeles Rams in 2023, playing in the NFL team’s preseason finale against the Denver Broncos, where he completed three of five passes for 21 yards. He was waived by the Rams on Aug. 29.

Charles-Pierre, 27, returns to the Green and Gold after being released on July 16. The native of Laval, Que., appeared in two preseason games for the Elks.

Collegiately, Charles-Pierre appeared in 13 games for Incarnate Word as a graduate student in 2022 and attended Houston University from 2019 to 2021.

Additionally, Edmonton released American Randy Satterfield (WR) from the practice roster. Satterfield was signed to the practice roster on Sept. 18.

Following a bye in Week 17, the Elks will return to action against the Toronto Argonauts at BMO Field on Oct. 6 at 5:00 p.m. MT.
