EDMONTON - The Edmonton Elks have signed Americans Josh Adewumi (LB) and Erick Browne (OL), the club announced Tuesday.

Adewumi appeared in 35 games over four seasons of NCAA Division III football at Salisbury University. He totalled 70 solo tackles, including a career-high 25 as a senior in 2022. The six-foot-one native of Springdale, Mary., also recorded 11 tackles-for-loss and 3.5 sacks to go with two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries over his career.

A six-foot-three lineman, Browne is back with the Elks after signing with the Green and Gold in July 2021 before being released prior to training camp. Browne played four seasons of NCAA Division I football in the Northeast conference at Merrimack College (2016-19), starting all 42 career games for the Warriors. The Boston product served as team captain in his final two seasons.
