Recent signees Cookus, Waters added to practice roster

EDMONTON – The Edmonton Elks made several roster moves Tuesday morning ahead of the team's practice at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium.

A pair of moves were made on the defensive line, as Cole Nelson was added to the active roster, while Jake Ceresna has been placed on the one-game injured list.

Quarterback Case Cookus and defensive back Herb Waters will be on the field for the first time Tuesday for the Elks, as the recent signees were added to the practice roster after completing COVID-19 quarantines.

Also announced was the release of defensive lineman Rossini Sandjong from the team's practice roster. The York University product appeared in five games for the Elks this season, most recently Week 9 against the Ottawa RedBlacks.
