Edmonton sends Gibbon (OL) to Montreal

EDMONTON - The Edmonton Elks are acquiring a second round pick in the 2024 CFL Draft from the Montreal Alouettes for veteran offensive lineman Jesse Gibbon in a trade announced Wednesday.

A veteran of three CFL seasons, Gibbon was acquired by Edmonton from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Sept. 2, 2022, as part of a deal that also saw the Elks receive a second round draft pick in 2023 in exchange for national offensive lineman David Beard and a 2023 fourth round draft pick.

Gibbon appeared in the final seven games of the 2022 season with the Green and Gold. The Waterloo product has played 49 games in his career since being selected by Hamilton second overall in the 2019 CFL Draft.
