QB suffered an injury to his spleen vs. Toronto on Oct. 15

EDMONTON – Please see the following statement from the Edmonton Elks concerning the status of quarterback Taylor Cornelius.

Elks quarterback Taylor Cornelius suffered an injury to his spleen during the Elks game versus the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday, October 15 and was hospitalized later that evening. He remains in hospital for observation and is expected to make a full recovery, but will not be in the lineup this week when the Elks conclude their 2022 regular season against the B.C. Lions.
