Harris not positive for COVID-19

Contrary to report, Elks quarterback is not one of nine Edmonton players to test positive

EDMONTON – Edmonton Elks quarterback Trevor Harris is not one of the team's nine players to have tested positive for COVID-19, following the team's game against the B.C. Lions on Thursday, August 19.

Harris – like all other Elks tier 1 players, coaches, and staff – has been at home isolating since the team received word on Sunday, August 22 that players had tested positive for COVID-19, following tests administered on Saturday, August 21.

The Elks are disappointed by 3 Down Nation's previous report, which stated Harris had tested positive for COVID-19.

The team will have no further comment on the matter, and will not publicly identify players who are in COVID protocol until the team returns to the field and issues its first injury report.
