Elks training camp media update

Information pertaining to entrance, in-person availabilities, and accreditation

EDMONTON – Please see the following updates regarding media attendance during Elks training camp.


WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Tuesday, July 13 - Sunday, July 18

NOTE: Schedule is subject to change. Availability times are approximate.


ENTRANCE

Media must enter The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium using GATE 7.

Security will grant access 15 minutes prior to the scheduled practice/scrimmage start time.


IN-PERSON AVAILABILITES

As per the CFL's 2021 media policy, media planning to attend in-person availabilities must:

  • Be socially distant from each other as well as coach/player
    • Markers will clearly indicate where media can stand during interviews
  • Masks are mandatory
  • Media must be fully vaccinated
    • Proof of vaccination will be reviewed at field-level prior to the media member participating in their first in-person availability

All in-person media availabilities will be outdoors, at field level. Interviews will occur one at a time at a podium, with media able to plug into a soundboard for audio.

In the event that an availability can't be staged outside, the availability will shift to Zoom.

NOTE: Beginning Saturday, July 17 all training camp media availabilities are planned to be staged in-person.


ACCREDITATION

Media requiring accreditation for the 2021 season are asked to apply for full-season access no later than Friday, July 23 by clicking here.

Single-game accreditation can be submitted weekly using the same link listed above. Please submit single-game requests a minimum of 72 hours prior to game day.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, Elks training camp sessions are closed to the general public. They remain open to media members affiliated with an outlet.
