Elks ready for busy draft day

Media invited to draft night at The Brick Field on May 3

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Elks are set for a busy day of drafting, as both the CFL's Global Draft and the CFL Draft are set for Tuesday, May 3.

It all starts at 10 a.m. MDT when the next group of global players take the next step on their pro football journey, while the latest crop of Canadian talent await their big night, which opens at 6 p.m. MDT.

Media are invited to The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium for Tuesday night's CFL Draft. Media are welcome to arrive beginning at 5 p.m. MDT, with food and beverages provided at 5:30 p.m. MDT.

  • WHO:
    • Chris Jones - Elks General Manager and Head Coach
    • Geroy Simon - Elks Assistant General Manager

  • WHAT: 2022 CFL Draft night
    • TSN coverage provided
      • Media interviews will be provided after each of the first two rounds (televised on TSN), and then at the conclusion of the Draft.
  • WHERE: The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium
    • NOTE: Please meet at the Elks Team Store inside the Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre. Team staff will take you to the media room.
  • WHEN:
    • Arrive: Beginning at 5:00 p.m. MDT
    • Meal (to be provided): 5:30 p.m. MDT
    • Draft commences: 6 p.m. MDT

NOTE: Edmonton's CFL Global Draft selections will be available Tuesday by request. The CFL will also host the top three global selections on a Zoom call beginning at ​ approximately 10:30 a.m. MDT.
